The Campaign
In the Western World we know the importance of education and basic computer skills and rely on them everyday. In Nepal it is not prevalent in everyday activities. Although there are definitely select households and businesses with computers, it isn’t the norm but the need is growing everyday. We know that an adequate education and computer skills will become essential in Nepal and the sooner we start the children in mastering those skills, the better their chances are of finding jobs.
Our goal is to ultimately set up a computer classroom. The project will require Internet wiring, tables, lighting, computer training, hardware, software and maintenance. If possible we would like to also purchase a printer/scanner and digital camera for the kids, they love taking pictures!
We will be holding various fund raisers throughout 2010-2011 and asking for donations. We truly appreciate any support given! Also, if you know of companies or organizations who would might like to donate, please send them our way.

Visit the children!
If you’d like to volunteer or visit the Sahara Orphanage, do it! Ask us about any questions you might have. We’ll put you in contact with the caretakers and even give you money to spend on helpful projects for the kids.
Not only will you be making a difference in the lives of these children but go home with memories that will last a lifetime. No experience necessary just optimism and a caring heart.
